Sand & Sea Camps

Sand & Sea Camps combine volleyball and other team-based beach games with fun water activities like bodyboarding and surfing. Activities are customized for three distinct age groups (5-8, 9-12, 13-17) and are conducted by our thoroughly trained and highly experienced staff. It’s a fantastic way to get outside for a fun, active and healthy day while making a few new friends in the process.

BEACH KIDS (Ages 5-8)

THE SAFE WAY TO INTRODUCE SAND & SURF FUN

Our Beach Kids Camp provides a safe, fun and informative introduction to the beach experience for boys and girls aged 5-8. Campers participate in a variety of shallow water activities, beach games and arts & crafts. Beginner lessons for surfing and bodyboarding are conducted one-on-one with expert instructors who are trained to recognize and adapt to campers’ individual comfort zones. We encourage campers to enjoy, respect and appreciate the beach as much as we do through positive and rewarding first-hand experiences.

Level1In all initial water activities (e.g. surfing, bodyboarding), Beach Kids will be one-on-one with our trained staff. We stress safety and comfort when introducing new activities to ensure everyone gets the most out of the experience.

Over years, we’ve developed a proven method for introducing kids to ocean activities. First, Beach Kids stand on their boards at the water’s edge and feel the surge of the oncoming surf rush under their boards. Although it is only inches of water, with the enthusiasm of our hands-on instructors, our Beach Kids get their first feeling of “riding the surf.” From there, Beach Kids enter the water with their instructors and begin to ride waves in the Level 1 water depth. This gentle and informative introduction to the ocean has helped countless campers understand important ocean and beach safety that will stay with them for years to come.

KIDS CAMP (Ages 9-12)

FUN, FUN, FUN IN THE SUN

Spending a summer—or even a week—at Kids Camp is a great way to build confidence and make new friends. We offer campers in this age group a four-to-one student-to-instructor ratio for initial water sessions. Our hands-on approach teaches kids the fundamentals of surfing, including how to read the ocean and judge waves. Kids also receive daily instruction from currently certified lifeguards on a rotating topic like CPR, first-aid and rip tides.) It’s a fun and safe experience our campers cherish for years and

This age group will participate in a wide range of beach games/activities, as well as Level 2 water sports. We as a staff have found this to be the most energetic! From beach volleyball to body surfing, and dodge-ball to swimming, the Kids Camp is truly where a kid can be a kid.

No video games here, just some good old-fashioned fun under the sun! Sand and Sea Beach Camps, here we come! Who’s coming with me?….

TEEN CAMP (Ages 13-17)

COWABUNGA!

The Sand & Sea Teen Camp program provides a wonderful opportunity for teens to come together and share the joys of surfing. Both beginner and intermediate surfers learn to take their surfing to the next level with guidance from the staff of professional instructors. During the five-day program, teens also learn about ocean and beach safety from certified lifeguards. It’s a great way for teens to learn to surf, make new friends and walk away with memories to last a lifetime.

Level3Teen Camp operates mostly at a Level 3 water depth and campers are free to participate in the activities of their choice. From surfing to beach soccer, there’s more to do than hours in the day.

At the end of each week, parents, family and friends are invited to join us for “Aloha Fridays” and surf with their kids—for free! It’s our way of giving a little something back to all the folks that make our Sand & Sea program such a success.
